Nyrstar’s Port Pirie tackles NOx at sulfuric acid plant

On the heels of a major redo of Nyrstar’s Port Pirie operation in South Australia, the metals producer recently completed a NOx abatement project at the facility’s sulfuric acid plant. Abating nitrogen oxides created from metals processing was part of a continuous improvement plan aimed at increasing sulfuric acid quality.
